Ian has over a decade of clinical experience in public and private settings in Ireland, the UK and Australia. He is very focused on goal-setting, working with all his patients to set & achieve their individual objectives. His treatment approach is a combination of hands on manual therapies alongside strength & conditioning principles.

Ian has a keen interest in body biomechanics and how the body alters its movement leading to injury or prolonged injury times for patients. He leans heavily on his experience as a Pilates instructor (mat and reformer) to correct movement dysfunctions and improve his patients’ overall health and well-being.

In recent years he has developed an interest in the specialist area of men’s health. He has attended a number of courses to develop his knowledge and skills to treat his patients.

Professional Qualifications:

Ian has a BSc in Sports Rehabilitation & Exercise Physiology and a MSc in Physiotherapy from Robert Gordon University in Aberdeen, Scotland. He is also an APPI qualified Mat and Equipment Pilates instructor.

Previous Experience:

Ian joined The International Physiotherapy Centre from the Health Service Executive in Ireland where he was working as a Senior Physiotherapist and Clinical Co-ordinator in multi-disciplinary teams.

Ian has previously worked in leading private clinics such as Six Physio in the UK and Recover Physiotherapy Australia, as well as prestigious hospitals including Kings College Hospital in London. He completed his rotational training back in 2014 in the National Health Service in the UK.
