Maria is a Senior Physiotherapist with extensive experience in Musculoskeletal and Orthopedic Physiotherapy & Rehabilitation.

She specialises in sports injuries and re-adaptation to physical activity, such as tendinopathies, ligaments sprains, meniscus tears and muscle injuries. She has lots of experience working with the chronic pain community.

Maria is a COMT certified practitioner (via a certificate in Orthopedic Manual Therapy), using her strong manual therapy skills to help relieve pain, inflammation and restore function. Maria is also specialised in Dry Needling, which is a tool often used to help with myofascial pain relief.

Professional Qualifications:

Maria earned her Bachelors Degree in Physiotherapy from the University of Blanquerna, Spain, in 2001. She has also completed a Masters Degree in Sports Physiotherapy and Physical Rehabilitation from Universitat Autónoma de Barcelona, Spain. Maria currently collaborates as a Guest Lecturer at Qatar University.

Previous Experience:

Prior to joining The International Physiotherapy Centre, Maria worked in various Physiotherapy and rehabilitation clinics in Barcelona. She also has experience working for a prestigious private sports club in the city and a leading general hospital.
